Emceedavid is not a stranger in this hip-hop community. A young bloke pursuing his law degree in UK, he has left something behind before he went. Signed under Kartel Records, that is because of this album, which is partly produce by Kugan a.k.a. Funktionz, he has shown Malaysian what a true emcee is like. Not to forget features from artistes, this is one good album.
Starting on the first track called the Intro, with the beats and perfect rhyme, you will hear Emceedavid telling who he is. Feel So Good (Remix) is one song you hear on radio few times, or more. It features Joe Flizzow and it has the energetic feeling that makes you really feel good. The Get Down has the feeling to dance and it's a nice track. The chorus is catchy and is the first single out by him. What You Gonna Say has the indian melody influence in it, it tells about trust and betrayal. It has a feel of anger and a little real talk. Wow... Do What I Do is the club song in this album. Featuring Malaysian own krunk master Roshan a.k.a. Gingerbreadman a.k.a. Tito Philly, member of the group K-Town Clan, it has a feel that makes you want to nod your head. It has the heavy kicking ass beats which makes you dance to it. Family Matters has a nice meaning to it, but the weak melody line that is not catchy. It makes you feel like skipping this track, but the lyrics mean something, hear closely. Streetlights has this melody that makes you want to hear over and over again. You get to hear it on the intro of Feel So Good video clip. This song is one of the best song and one that has the best rhymes to it. Featuring Jamntrix, you love this song I bet you. Perhaps You'll See is one that is called concious rap. It shows how we should appreciate our own life and not complain compare to the poor and those who is struck by poverty. It also touches about the current state of the world and terrorism. Everything Changes talks about a love triangle. This is about a girl who he and his best friend like, which his friend betray him to get her. In the end, he's an emcee who rap about this. Fancy Flow features TTC's Altimet. This one has a nice beat and flow from two emcee. It's also a little promo of Altimet's album "First Among Equals" and is featured on Altimet SonRise Mixtape. It's a great song, if you listen properly. Bragging Rights probably is the weakest song on this album. This song has poor beats and a little too many features like AshG, GFlex, Naqib and Provokalizt. Need a little more improvement and a better melodic background. Fly is something you'll want to hear after a long day of work or class. It's something nice with the piano in the background. Emceedavid make this song beautiful with the nice rhymes. Home is about his conflict with parents and the directions one chooses. But in the end, one appreciate them for what they have done for him/her and the patients in them. Keep It Moving is something talking about rap music and rappers who wants fame and not caring about others. Bonus track : Feel So Good this is the original version without Joe Flizzow and is still rock with a nice second verse by him. It's quite a good ending after all.
This album rating : 3.5 out of five.
Personal favourite : Feel So Good (Remix), Everybody Changes, Fly and Home
Overall comment : Something worth your money and good music. One will make you want to listen over and over it again. I hope there is a next album by him. But I'll recommend this album really.
Album will be dropping soon, so go cop yours!
Peace.
